Welcome to Pit Pass our championship news and blog. Bringing you everything that is goin on in the world of the
mini cup
I am pleased to announce we are nearly there, some hard paced coding and some ASP class tweaking and we are so close to rolling out the championship. We need 3 more drivers and we are good to go.
We are going to roll it out to the forza forums if we dont fill up the slots by early Novemeber, There are some names in the pipeline, so they get first refusal.
There will be TWEAKS TO THE RULES soon by Gaz, and the points system will be displayed.
The site needs some minor things adding but thanks to Gaz annd his awesome SQL coding it should take 5 minutes. We will be adding loads more functionality to it later with statistics galore. We are getting ready for the shootout a one time event no points just bragging rights.
Oh yes and if you need a livery then please give me a shout or gift me your mini and I will come up with something for you, just dont ask me to do manga, halo or massivley complex stuff, just look at the cars we have already designed and I will try and come up with a little something.
Merry christmas as well to everyone from the boys at forza 2 leagues.
Yes we are nearing the end of the year and launch is imminent and a little bit concerning. Some tweaks still need to be made and the back end still requires tweaks, but we are confident it will be ready by new year.

Sam's GM goodwrench mini
So we are 5 drivers strong and a couple of entries as well which still need to be confirmed but I am confident we will start the season with a full grid with awesome liverys ready to be destroyed. I can hear the crys of “who’s got the orange car, I just run over your bumper”.
Three of the members had a practice race last week and some real close racing was witnessed none more so than Steve and Gaz’s Maple Valley battle on the last lap which left Steve in the cat litter and Gaz taking victory after some paint was traded in the dieing corners. In the words of Harry Hogg “Rubbins Racing, Son”.
All three drivers picked up wins - Fili had a great win at New York, Steve Sunset, Sebring and a couple of others. Gazzer a dodgy win at Maple, Tsuzka short, and Road Atlanata. It was quality and the race at Tsuzka short was a born classic cant wait for eight of us to be tearing around that tight short course vying for the lead.
Some video footage has been taken by Gazzer as well, so we might have a couple of vids soon. We will be going public with this baby in a couple of weeks.
Another evening developing and all is going well despite some ASP errors. SQL development is going really well and the back end is nearly finished and early testing looks good. Back end is about 85% done.
We will be redeveloping it so that we can roll it out to people if they want to make their own leagues.
Oooh and with have 4 confirmed entrants.
We are now flying through the back end development for the site. Needless to say we have made massive progress and a stored procedure or two away from Beta testing, which is where we want to be.
Next step then is to make it easy to roll out to other leagues on the fly by adding Gamertag Validation using a REST call and some minor tweaking then we should be able to produce league sites on the fly. That is the plan anyway.
We will be running a shootout race at the start of next year which will be not for championship points but just a season opener consiting of 2 sprint races of 4 laps and an endurance race of 10 laps. The courses are not yet decided, but hopefully Sebring will be in there. I am leaving that decsion to Gaz.
Well hopefully next post will be we are ready to rock.
As you can probably tell we have the blog up and running now. This will keep all the latest news and league announcments in it. We will also be putting race reports in here as well.
As far as the rest of the site goes with have the horrible task of doing the whole champioship back end development. We aim to have all this done by the end of the month ready for a league start next year. Who knows it might even be up before then.
This site is still under heavy construction but is at the stage where we can accept entry request’s.
We are currently developing the back end clever stuff ready for the season.
Big thanks to the Gazzer for all his help, and for switching hosts so quickly.
As of today we are recuriting for the up and coming Forza 2 League. We aim to start the championship on the 1st January 2008.
To register your intrest make sure you read the rules and then sign up.
At the moment we are only accepting 8 drivers who must be able to race every Tuesday at 22:00 GMT (10:00pm UK time).
